So what do we hold, and what do we do with it?

Upon registration, you have to enter some information which is stored on the RDFR database (to which access is restricted internally). This information includes your name and date of birth both of which can be changed via the Your Details page. Your Details can also be used to supply and change other information about your circumstances including nicknames, maiden names, places of domicile along with dates, and keywords which might result in a successful search for someone looking for you.All this information is accessible to subscribers to the RDFR service through the Search facility and could potentially be displayed to them as the result of a search that they instigate.

The other piece of your information stored by us is your email address. If you need to change your email address you should email us from your original email account at recruit@rdfr.co.uk.

We will not publish your email address anywhere on RDFR. Subscribers to RDFR can get in touch with you only by sending a mail through our service. You will then be able to see their email address and of course respond if you so wish… (Subscribers should therefore be aware that sending an email through our service means that they are disclosing their email address to the person with whom they are getting in touch.)

What do YOU need to do?

We hope you can see that we believe we are doing everything possible to protect any information we store or process. Some responsibility also lies with you - you should always make sure that you log off from an RDFR session when away from your computer, and should make sure that your password remains secret. If you think your password has been compromised, it can be changed under Information / Change Password.
